The company has also grown steadily by expanding into new market areas while remodeling and replacing existing sites as needed to provide the best service to its customers.

It is owned by K-Fa-T Food Stores, a family-owned and privately owned family (only 13% through Isop) based in Abingdon, Virginia. As of August 2017, K-Fa-T operates 131 retail retail outlets (121 Food Stores City, 10 Super Dollar Stores along with 5 stores and 2 liquor stores (Food City Wine & Spirits)) in Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia.
