Ralfs Grocery was founded in 1873 by George Albert Ralph. The original store is located on Sixth and Spring Streets in Los Angeles, California. On July 20, 2007, Ralph opened a 50,000 square meter (4,600 square meter) new storeroom on 9 and Hope Street in South Park, downtown Los Angeles. This was the first supermarket full-range downtown in 50 years. In 1950, Ralves closed a shop on 7th Street and Figueroa Street.
